Canal of Venice

I sketched the hotel where we stayed from the very narrow street along a small canal.

I thought the street was a dead end. But suddenly a woman appeared from the dead end and started shouting. I couldn't understand her Italian but she seemed to say to get out of the way.

I took it for a dead end for there was a building there. But in fact they were able to go through the space under the building. We have to be careful in Venice for Venice has many hidden passes.
